About Me

I graduated from Vanderbilt University with dual degrees in Psychology and English Literature. After a short career in media, I returned to study Health Psychology at University College London in 2017. I completed my first Masters of Science (MSc) in Health Psychology followed by an additional MSc in Mental Health: Psychological Therapies from Queen Mary University, London in 2018. Throughout my time in the UK I worked in mental health research and as a clinician for the National Health Service (NHS) in England. Returning to the United States in 2018, I completed my Masters of Arts (MA) in Counseling from Northwestern University and went on to gain full licensure in New York (LMHC-D) and Maine (LCPC). I am also fully accredited by the Irish Association for Psychotherapists and Counselors (IACP).

I have been working in private practice since 2019 as a psychotherapist, supervisor, and formerly as the Assistant Clinical Director for a private practice in Brooklyn. I began my own solo practice in January 2025 and have been building ever since. My areas of specialty include trauma, peripartum adjustment, and relational sex therapy. I am a certified sex therapy informed professional (CSTIP) and am soon to complete my certification as a clinical trauma professional levels 1 & 2 (CCTP & CCTP-II).

My approach to treatment integrates theories and techniques across a number of different modalities. I am originally trained in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, and have incorporated techniques from mindfulness, CBT, and DBT. Our sessions may involve exploring personal histories and unconscious processes, identifying communication gaps, and developing flexible coping strategies for life's many stressors.

For anyone who feels apprehensive about the process of therapy, I work with clients at a pace set by each individual and their unique concerns. Exploring how something may relate to one's past, present, and future self can be a gradual process of discovery. I hope to have the opportunity to support you in this.
